Entrepreneurs Only: 5 Things You Must Do Every Day to Build Your Business

Under Construction

Entrepreneurs if you are looking for a few fundamental tips to sustain and grow your business look no further.  These things might seem simple and obvious, but a disciplined approach to just these few things can have a huge affect on your business.

  1. Plan for the future a few minutes each day.
  2. Work on your marketing in some aspect every day to get new customers.
  3. Work on closing a sale every single day.
  4. Develop and strengthen your business network.
  5. Contact your current customers.

Even if you aren’t an entrepreneur, these few steps can have a huge impact on individuals.  Realize you are a business!

  1. Plan for the future a few minutes each day.  Where will you be in 5 years?  What will you do next week?  What are you going to do this afternoon?
  2. Work on your marketing in some aspect every day to get new customers.  Every person is a brand.  How are you developing and building your brand?  What does your Facebook page look like?  What are you tweeting?
  3. Work on closing a sale every single day.  If you don’t have a job, apply every day.  Adjust your resume for the job announcement.  If you are applying for school, make sure you are being true to yourself, but also showing how you will be an asset to the school.
  4. Develop and strengthen your business network.  Network, Network, Network.  But don’t forget, you probably already know who you need to get to where you want to be (see The Power of Who).
  5. Contact your current customers.  Stay in contact with your friends and family.  They will always be there for you.
